Our Story
Where it all began
From an early age, I developed a passion for making and repairing things, spending countless hours tinkering with hand tools in my grandfather’s shed. That hands-on experience sparked a lifelong interest in craftsmanship and led me to pursue a career in the construction industry.
After leaving college in 2005, I began working in the building trade, gaining practical knowledge across every stage of construction — from the ground right through to the finest finishing touches. This broad experience gave me a deep understanding of how buildings come together and, more importantly, how quality is achieved.
New business
In 2010, I established my own business, initially focusing on fitting kitchens. From the outset, I was driven by a commitment to detail and a desire to create finishes that truly deliver the “wow” factor for clients.
Over time I became increasingly dissatisfied with the quality and finish of some off-the-shelf products. Having to frequently adapt items to suit each installation and battling against missfit items, I desided to invest in the equiptment enabling me to design and construct the very products I was installing.
By producing products of both a higher quality and better structure, I laid the foundation for
DH Innovations.
Being able to oversee every stage from concept to completion, ensured the outstanding results to meet the growing expectations and investment of modern home improvement.
Growth and transformation
As the business has evolved, what began in a modest 380 sq ft storage unit has grown into a fully equipped 4,350 sq ft workshop.
With the right equipment and expertise in place, we are able to undertake multiple projects simultaneously. The business is now operating at its most active level to date and as a result we expanded our workforce - hiring our first apprentice Gus, he is already proving to be a fantastic asset and adopting the high standards we strive for.
Future outlook
We come across new challenges regularly, this broadens our knowlage and gives us great insight into how to overcome and adapt to make the best of unusual spaces.
We belive in the business growing organically through reccomendation of quality and workmanship.
We are always keen to invest in the right tools and equiptment for the job and are actively looking to expand our product lines to move with the times - consistently producing high quality bespoke furniture and interiors exactly to your requirements.
